
Indonesian Islamic Museum K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari (MINHA) is a museum with collections covering three important eras: the entry of Islam into the archipelago; the struggle for independence; and the ideas from Islamic figures. Located within an Islamic boarding school in Jombang, East Java, this museum was established as a science and knowledge center to teach Islamic values in Indonesia which emphasizes tolerance towards the cultural diversity of the archipelago.
This museum highlights major figures in Islamic history such as K.H. Hasyim Asy'ari and the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur. Through superior collections such as the Mbah Hasyim’s Robe and Ancient Book Manuscripts, this museum offers a participatory experience for visitors, communities, organizations and Islamic figures in Indonesia, representing tolerance of diversity by involving various parties to preserve the archipelago's Islamic heritage. Apart from that, this museum also presents various public education programs such as "Jihad Resolution" and "Gus Dur Month" which inspire visitors about tolerant and inclusive Islamic values.
